Only What's Done For Christ Will Last

Sep 21, 2025    Tyler LaFoy

In this passage, Peter heals a paralyzed man named Aeneas and raises a woman named Tabitha (Dorcas) from the dead. Both miracles point beyond Peter to the power of Jesus, showing that Christ is alive and still working through His people. The healings weren’t just about physical restoration; they served to lead whole communities to turn to the Lord. It’s a reminder that the gospel brings real, transforming life where there was weakness and even death, and that Jesus is still in the business of making all things new. Our lives are but a vapor, and once we reach the end, we'll be met with the reality of only what was done for Christ, and His glory will last.
