Trademarks of Disciple Makers

Nov 30, 2025    Tyler LaFoy

In Acts 14, we get this beautiful window into what disciple makers really look like. Paul and Barnabas move from city to city proclaiming Jesus with a steady boldness, even when the crowds are hostile or trying to put them on a pedestal. They keep pressing forward in simple faithfulness, always pointing people back to the living God in humility. When persecution hits, and Paul is stoned and left for dead, they get back up and keep going because the gospel is worth it. As they loop back through those same cities, they train up believers, encourage them to stay the course, and raise up new leaders. It is a picture of disciple makers who do more than make converts. They make disciples who will stand firm in Jesus and lead others to do the same.
