A Heart That God Uses

Nehemiah 1 teaches us that God often begins His work of renewal by placing a burden in the heart of someone who cares deeply about His people and His glory. When Nehemiah hears that Jerusalem lies in ruins, he responds not with indifference but with grief, prayer, repentance, and trust in God’s promises. This chapter shows us that sometimes God's answer to our prayers comes not from external sources but from the Lord stirring in us to step in to be a means to the fulfillment of His purposes.
