This sermon was preached during our 2024 Ephesians: The Church in Christ series. Today in Ephesians we got to one maybe one of the most preached and arguably misunderstood texts in all of Ephesians. What we see in this passage is not so much a beat down on people into submission but rather a grander picture of what it looks like to live out the will of God in a Spirit-filled life. What we saw is that submission is at the very core of us as image bearers, but more so at the heart of the gospel is God-glorifying submission.
